Architect - RUBICON

RUBICON is seeking an Architectural Engineer to oversee, coordinate and assist in the management of all the design and development of Location Based Entertainment Projects. The candidate will also be required to ensure that the designs (created in-house and 3rd party developers) comply with the overall goal of the Location Based Entertainment Projects.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Assist with the checking of submissions from architects and developers to ensure compliance with the projects' code and regulations, as well as conformity with the overall master plans;
  • Attend meetings with developers to review/discuss all aspects of design intent and themes, to ensure overall consistency of the project;
  • Assist with the review of material from the architects and developers to ensure continuity as required around the various phases of the project(s);
  • Review consultants' designs and scopes of work under the guidance of the clients;
  • Assist the project managers in their dealings with the various consultants as needed;
  • Coordinate with other project related areas such as - roads/infrastructure, landscaping/irrigation, street signage and branding, etc;
  • Attend coordination/progress meetings;
  • Assist in the order and handling of construction materials;
  • Undertake any other related duties assigned by superiors as required.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture;
  • 2 -3 years of professional experience providing architecture services, with specific experience in the following areas:
  • Residential and commercial development projects;
  • Retail and dining facilities;
  • Local authority procedures and approvals;
  • Architectural design;
  • Preparation of design guidelines;
  • Principles and practices of architecture;
  • Methods of analysis and computation required in architectural design;
  • Instruments, tools, symbols, and nomenclature used in architectural or structural drawing, shop drawing, and specifications;
  • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Must be organized, creative, independent and self-motivated, enthusiastic, dependable, detail oriented, flexible in scheduling and prioritization, and driven by excellence;
  • Ability to work with software packages such as Auto Cad, SketchUp, Photoshop, 3D Max;
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
