Department Overview:

The Ad Technology team is responsible for supplying support, solutions and advice around the technical implementation and delivery of Rich Media on the Yahoo! Network. The team is part of the Global Advertising Operations team that reports centrally to the headquarters in Sunnyvale, California. The team has members in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany and Spain and it is extending its reach to the Middle East and Africa.

The group has a pivotal role in the company as it is involved in all aspects of delivery of display advertising, from product consultation and setup, ad specs ownership, all the way to physical execution. The team interacts with many teams across the company, ranging internally from product managers, engineers, account management, sales teams, advertising operations and externally with our advertising clients, agencies and third party vendors.

Responsibilities:
The Creative Project Producer (CPP) will be responsible for the implementation and support of cutting-edge graphical advertising solutions on Maktoob, the Yahoo! EMEA network, Yahoo! EMEA Home Pages and on partner sites. The implementation will be done using Yahoo! proprietary ad building and ad serving tools and 3rd party rich media ads.
The candidate will support the ad operations team on day to day technical issues, training traffickers on rich media builds while also supporting the wider ad technology team.
The CPP will be also involved in the definition of ad specs, building best practises, QA, and overseeing of the correct use of rich media ads throughout the Yahoo! European network of sites.
The CPP for the Middle East will work independently and will have to develop an understanding of the current rich media market in Middle Eastern countries by maintaining relationships with internal and external clients. At the same time The CPP will also maintain relationships with our US counterparts in order to gain insight of development in the company headquarters.
The CPP will also be asked to research new ad solutions and take care of their correct implementation throughout the Yahoo! network.

Requirements:
Essential:
Fluent in Arabic and English
Adobe Flash CS4 skills including intermediate to advanced knowledge of ActionScript 2 & 3
Intermediate to advanced Javascript, XHTML, CSS.
Presentation skills.
Project management skills.
Troubleshooting skills.
Ability to relay technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast paced and fast changing environment.
Be customer-service oriented and have a can-do attitude.
Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.

Desirable:
Educated to degree level.
Working knowledge of ad serving technologies.
Experience of working in an ad operations team or in an online marketing environment.
Working knowledge of video solutions for the web and video optimising.
Knowledge of Other web developing languages (Php, mysql, Perl, Java etc).

Competencies:

Ad Building:
Learning and mastering ad building tools and techniques. Learning and mastering ad building best practises.
Receiving and validating assets.
Making or requesting required changes to assets or missing assets.
Building ads to template standards.
Thorough QA of all ads.

3rd party ads:
Implementation and troubleshooting of third party ads.

Testing and QA:
Executing tests on brief from other teams on new ad solutions.
Initiating testing and QA processes, including with product engineers and product managers.
Documenting ad builds in a shareable way.

Integration with the rest of the ad tech:
Knowledge of Right Media ad troubleshooting
Understanding of other teams' processes so to be able to help when needed.

Keeping standards and working framework:
Maintaining and working within established work flow SLAs and turnaround times.
Overseeing the quality of rich media on network and flagging potential breaches of specs or best practices.
Creating and maintaining documentation.
Supporting and overseeing ad operations team activities.
Training the ad operations when applicable.
Maintaining relationships with internal and external clients.
Understanding specific requirements and challenges for the Italian market.
