Launch you animation career at Rubicon

Are you a creative artist or animator? Are you looking to achieve your career goals? Are you looking for a full-time or part-time job? Are you looking to earn extra income working in the evenings?

Rubicon is looking for 20-30 creative and ambitious candidates to work on exciting broadcast quality projects including 'The Pink Panther'. Candidates may apply to work either full-time or part-time, and either day shifts or evening shifts.

Positions available include:

Assistant Animators/ In-Betweener

Main Responsibilities

• Inking key animation;
• Drawing the in-betweens: following the timing charts laid out by the key animator, the assistant animator will add the "in-between" drawings to complete the animation;

• Inking the in-betweens.

Skills & Requirements

• Knowledge and understanding of 2D animation principles;

• Ability to work under pressure and meet targets;
• Strong incentive and a willingness to learn;
• Basic computer skills with a mind that readily absorbs new technology;
• Knowledge of 'Toon Boom' is a plus, additional training will be provided.

Digital Painters

Main Responsibilities

• Coloring and/or inking the animated work;
• Ensuring all drawing elements are colored correctly to meet quality standards.

Skills & Requirements

• Artistic individual with good eye for detail;
• Ability to work under pressure and meet targets;
• Basic computer skills with a mind that readily absorbs new technology.
