Tutorial // Creating multiple page PDF File From Illustrator

This simple tutorial will Guide you in creating multiple pages PDF file from illustrator, its very handy.

1 - Open a new document and set its size to (width 63 Height 29.7), please note that we are creating a three A4 PDF page file, that explains the 63.

2- Go to the File menu under print and click, the printing dialogue appears, we need to change the following,

Change the printer to Adobe Postscript File, and change the PPD to Adobe PDF
Make sure the media size is set to A4 .

3- Under the setup section in the printing dialogue

Crop Artwork to Artboard
Change the tilling to tile full pages
Reset the placement origin into X = 0 Y = 0
Hit the done key

4- Now we are going to save the file as PDF, Hit save and and choose Adobe PDF as format

5- In the PDF settings, check the create Multi-page PDF from Page Tiles.

Hopefully in the coming times we will try to demonstrate how to create a baseline grid for designing a newsletter or a report using this illustrator set up.

Well Kayed you are right, this technique can help you create a simple layout for a newsletter or a portfolio without using Indesign, the idea is creating multiple page PDF from illustrator directly, we usually submit the options of designs we make for clients using PDFs, this is just a fast approach:-) it can be very handy.
